Play & Say
focuses on

Receptive Language and Pre-verbal Skills
At Play & Say the ultimate goal is spoken communication but preverbal skills are the foundation. At Play & Say, Donna promotes child led activities to build skills.
Gestalt Language Processing vs. Analytical Language Processing
It's important for us to recognize both learning styles and determine the best approach for your child.
Articulation, Phonological Processing & Apraxia
These speech concerns are very different and require different approaches. The evaluation available at Play & Say will determine the best approach for your child's speech intelligibility.
Autism Spectrum

At Play & Say, we meet children where they are with communication, social interactions and play. Donna believes in building the relationship with each child to grow and expand their strengths.
Expressive Language
It's exciting when our child says their first words and our names. At Play & Say, Donna will be analyzing all aspects of expressive communication including determining the language processing style your child uses so that therapy builds on your child's strengths.
Other Areas
Social Pragmatic Skills, Hearing Impairment, AAC, and Sensory Processing.

Testimonials
"I began working with Donna in February of 2020 when my son was diagnosed with a speech delay at 18 months old. Most of our sessions were virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the challenging circumstances, Donna was an invaluable asset to our family. Very early on, Donna educated me on the causes of speech delay and the fundamentals of communication. She taught me what sounds typically come first, what vowels are challenging for littles, and what to expect at different stages of my sons' development. She also consistently provided me with resources and materials to further my understanding outside of our sessions. Donna transformed the way that I played, interacted and helped my son. She provided me with the tools that I needed by teaching me effective speech strategies that helped produce results with my son's communication and development-when our approach wasn't working-she sat back, reevaluated and developed a new strategy. She would often call or text me in between sessions to offer new ideas which showed me that my son was not just another client to her-that she truly cared for him and his needs. She continuously set high-achievment goals for my son and was certain that together we would help him achieve them. Above all else, Donna was empathetic and understanding of the emotions associated with struggling to communicate with your child.  My son is now five years old and there is not a day that goes by when I don't remember how hard we worked for the skills he has now. I will forever be grateful to Donna for her knowledge, expertise and guidance." -Mindy
"Donna is an incredible person and speech therapist. She is super nice and great with kids. My son couldn't wait for his session each week with her. She helped him make great progress during their time together. It is obvious that she cares about her work and the children she works with. Donna makes an effort to stay up to date on the best practices for speech therapy. She always had great tips for things we could work on at home to help my son better communicate. I highly recommend Donna." - Chelsea
"Donna listened to our weekly progress and concerns with our son. Then problem solved our next steps. She really listened more than anyone else."-Jennifer
