"I began working with Donna in February of 2020 when my son was diagnosed with a speech delay at 18 months old.  Most of our sessions were virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the challenging circumstances, Donna was an invaluable asset to our family. Very early on, Donna educated me on the causes of speech delay and the fundamentals of communication.  She taught me what sounds typically come first, what vowels are challenging for littles, and what to expect at different stages of my sons' development.  She also consistently provided me with resources and materials to further my understanding outside of our sessions. Donna transformed the way that I played, interacted and helped my son.  She provided me with the tools that I needed by teaching me effective speech strategies that helped produce results with my son's communication and development-when our approach wasn't working-she sat back, reevaluated and developed a new strategy.  She would often call or text me in between sessions to offer new ideas which showed me that my son was not just another client to her-that she truly cared for him and his needs. She continuously set high-achievment goals for my son and was certain that together we would help him achieve them.  Above all else, Donna was empathetic and understanding of the emotions associated with struggling to communicate with your child.   My son is now five years old and there is not a day that goes by when I don't remember how hard we worked for the skills he has now.
